Full-time, Tenure Track, Assistant Professor

Nutrition Program

The Department of Nutrition at Saint Joseph College for the 2011-2012 academic year, announces a full-time tenure-track appointment for the American Dietetic Association (ADA) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD). This is an assistant professor level position and will begin August 2011. Responsibilities include: teaching undergraduate course in Nutrition and Dietetics specifically relating to medical nutrition therapy and food and nutrition management; master’s level courses for the online degree program in nutrition with a focus on special topics in nutritional science, serve as advisor to undergraduate nutrition/dietetic students, direct graduate research projects and independent studies, direct the ADA-approved DPD and engage in professional development activities and service responsibilities that will serve to advance the program and department. Requirements for the position include an earned doctoral degree, active membership in the American Dietetic Association, registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, and maintenance of the RD credentialing. Candidates for this position must also have relevant clinical experience in dietetics and nutrition; they should possess a strong interest in working closely with undergraduate and master’s level students, and a desire to develop as an excellent teacher. The standard teaching schedule is twelve credits per semester.
