Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1932 in the Catholic intellectual tradition.

Location: beautiful 84-acre campus only one mile from West Hartford’s thriving downtown; three miles from Hartford and mid-way between Boston and New York City.

SJC opened its School of Pharmacy in 2011; employment of pharmacists is expected to grow 17% between now and 2018.

SJC was ranked by The U.S. News & World Report in the Top Tier of Regional Colleges in the north in 2011.

Saint Joseph College is regionally accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) named Saint Joseph College as 2010 and 2011 Sportsmanship Award Winner.

Five of the last nine students to win the prestigious Connecticut Chapter National Association of Social Workers Student of the Year award were SJC Social Work students.

GI Bill Yellow Ribbon Program SJC participates in Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program - offered in Collaboration with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.

 

 

Our Accounting program is designed so you can complete all Accounting course requirements needed to sit for the State CPA exam as an undergraduate!

SJC is one of only 14 women’s colleges in the U.S. accredited by the American Chemical Society.

In 2009, 2010, and 2011, SJC was named to the Presidential Honor Roll for Community Service for exemplary service efforts and service to American communities.
