About Me
I'm a proud member of the Class of 2015 and a Psychology major. One of the things I like to do is create videos, so this video blog is where I'll post my own work, giving you a view into life on campus at SJC!
Enjoy!
Hello everyone! In this blog I am trying to incorporate events, both from the past and what's in store for the future. I hope you all take your time on this page and browse through the videos I have presented for your viewing. Enjoy!

I found this video when I was checking my email one day. The La Quinta mattress company is using 850 of its employees to participate in a fundraiser for the homeless. Mattress dominoes, a fun way to raise money, is a technique used by this mattress company in New Orleans.
"La Quinta Inns & Suites and Simmons Bedding Company will donate the 850 wrapped mattresses used in the record attempt to the Mayor's Homeless Initiatives and various local charities at the conclusion of the event. (Youtube, 2012)."

Did You Know?
The State of Connecticut does not fund private institutions such as Saint Joseph College. Do you know what the Saint Joseph College Annual Fund is? Did you know this Annual Fund is responsible for 33% of financial aid, repairs, classroom materials, and contributes to keeping the school maintained and running? The Saint Joseph College Annual Fund is the core of fundraising for Saint Joseph College itself. The employees and students of this school are responsible for raising the funds, asking for gifts, and reminding Alumnae about the wonderful institution they were privileged to attend.
You may think you cannot afford to donate right now because you are a student, or you don't have a job, but I assure you giving back is one of the most important things you can do in your lifetime. By giving back, you are not only helping Saint Joseph College continue to provide your education, but you give the opportunity for students who depend on the financial aid as well. With this in mind, it is never too early to give back to Saint Joseph College. With this in mind, whether you are a freshman or a Senior, you don’t have to give much, every dollar counts! Support your college today. To give a gift to Saint Joseph College, please visit http://www.sjc.edu/giving .

January 11th, 2012:
Introducing Syedha!
Happy New Year's Everyone! I hope everyone has enjoyed their holiday vacation and spent time with family and friends. As many know, last semester of Fall 2011 was quite hectic! The thunderstorms within the first weekend was not expected by many students and I am sure it has made an impact on the graduating class of 2015 and 2012 being that this is how they will remember their first and last year at Saint Joseph College. I take pride in being able to say I am a member of the Class of 2015 and I speak on the behalf of all when I say, "We survived our first semester!". It has not been easy adjusting from high school to college, where the classes are sometimes smaller/ larger, the social scene is much different, and we are away from our homes. Lucky for us, we have at our hands some great professors who invest time and effort into their students and a free tutoring center called the Center of Academic Excellence (CAE). The most memorable times of Fall 2011 semester were Dean's Cup, Deck the Halls, and our wonderful snow storm. =)
Now it's time to introduce myself! My name is Syedha Browne of Class 2015. I am a Psychology major, and I have been working for the Marketing and Communications Dept. since September 2011. Some of you may have seen my postings on Youtube or Facebook, and for those of you who haven't I make videos about Saint Joseph College, the students, and the events that take place. I am excited to begin the Spring 2012 Semester, and I hope there are many memories just waiting to be created!
If you look below, you will see a new blog entry called the "Fall 2011 Flashback"! I hope everyone enjoys being able to look back on last semester and find ways to overcome the obstacles they may face this semester, all the while creating new memories!
Countdown Till Spring Semester: 6 Days!!!
Best Wishes to Everyone!
