Whether you are considering a career in public accounting, industry or government, a Saint Joseph College Bachelor's Degree in Accounting will put you on the road to success. Under the auspices of the College's Department of Business Administration, students benefit from highly specialized accounting courses with related classes from the disciplines of Management, Economics, Finances, and more.
The Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting at Saint Joseph College, when coupled with the Master of Science Degree in Management, fully prepares students for careers as Certified Public Accountants. The comprehensive curriculum allows students to complete the required 36 credits in Accounting at the undergraduate level. The program's focus is on preparing students to successfully pass most of the licensing exams for accountants including the CPA and CMA exams. Upon completion of the Master's Degree, students will have satisfied the educational requirements necessary to obtain the CPA certificate in the state of Connecticut.
Saint Joseph College Accounting graduates have enjoyed much success in their careers. Some have achieved professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) and others have gone on to earn advanced degrees. Our graduate have worked and/or interned at both national and local accounting firms, including Price-Waterhouse-Coopers, Ernst and Young, and Blum Shapiro. Some have pursued accounting careers in industry and government, including The Phoenix, United Technologies, IBM, and the State of Connecticut.

Flexible Schedules:
The accounting major is available for students in both The Women's College and the Program for Adult Learners. Upper level accounting classes are offered only on weekday evenings. Students in other majors may choose to do a minor in accounting.
