International Students

Financial aid for attending St. John’s College is available for international students. Financial aid packages for international students may include scholarships, grants, loans, and campus employment. Employment on campus is not guaranteed, therefore we urge all students to apply early for financial aid. Additional funding is available for students from United World College schools. The international financial aid budget is not unlimited. While we receive many strong applications every year, we are unable to meet 100% of demonstrated need for international applicants.

In order to apply for financial aid, please complete the CSS Profile. The CSS Profile is available online beginning October 1. You will be asked questions about your finances during your country’s most recent tax year, previous tax year, and upcoming tax year. From there you can determine your previous and upcoming tax years. If you received a fee waiver your freshman year, you may submit the International Student Financial Aid Application in subsequent years.

Please complete the CSS Profile application as soon as possible. You do not need to wait until you have been admitted to the college to complete the application. If you are unable to complete the CSS Profile online, please contact the Financial Aid Office for further instructions. Offers of financial aid will be made once the student has been admitted to the college.

In addition to the online CSS Profile, you will need to complete the International Student Certification of Finances form, available on the Financial Aid Forms page. This document is required to complete the I-20 application; however, the form should not be submitted until a student has received a financial aid award letter and has accepted it.
