Larry Clendenin has worked in college admissions for thirty-five years. He began his career at The American University in Washington, DC and learned many 'tools of the trade' while working at the University of Denver. Always drawn to the one-of-a-kind curriculums and distinctive approaches of what he calls “single mission colleges,” Mr. Clendenin worked for Prescott College in Arizona and the College of the Atlantic in Maine before returning to his alma mater, St. John’s College. He has acted as Director of Admissions at St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico for twenty-five years. In that time, Mr. Clendenin served as president of RMACAC from 1990 to 1991 and as a Delegate to NACAC from 1992 to 1995. In his career, Larry Clendenin has also been on the Credentials Committee of NEACAC, and has maintained an active membership in NACAC since 1981.
