While Barbara is not originally from Connecticut, she has lived here for more than 10 years and considers it "home." Barbara grew up in New York and feels that Connecticut offers the best of both worlds: it is close enough to visit New York often, and it provides the nature and history that Barbara loves.

Having earned her master's degree at Saint Joseph College in Community Counseling, Barbara is passionate about the College and its programs. She is thrilled to speak with students every day about SJC. In her role as director of transfer and weekend admissions, she feels particularly privileged to work with adult learners who are transferring to SJC's Undergraduate Programs for Women and the Weekend Program for Adult Learners.  Barbara believes adult learners are amazing individuals and celebrating their success is her favorite part of her job.

When not at work, Barbara enjoys playing with her dog, Tulip, and her cat, Basil; hiking Connecticut's many trails; visiting museums; and attending juried craft shows. She also loves video conferencing with family and friends; having a soy chai at Barnes and Nobles with her husband; and watching British television. In general, Barbara loves learning new things and gets excited about new ideas, which relates to her passion for higher education. Barbara truly values education and loves assisting students in finding their passion in their pursuit of a degree!
