Christina Coute ’05: A Purposeful Education
Christina Coute '05 entered the work force at age 16. In the years since, she has negotiated a complex schedule of work, school, and life. Determined to earn a degree in Management, Christina found support from Saint Joseph College and her employer, People's Bank. As she earned her bachelor's degree, Christina worked full time as a senior customer service supervisor. During her last semester at Saint Joseph College, she was recruited into the bank's management training program and will soon become a manager at a People's Bank branch.
"Saint Joseph College was the perfect place for me. I benefited from the small classes, the professors, and the other students. Professor Steve Jarett was particularly helpful. He taught me the skills I needed to move into the working world by incorporating real-world experiences into their teaching. I've used everything I learned from my business classes in the workplace and I left college prepared for a career in the banking industry."
