Kate Johnson ’04: Confidence and Clarity
Saint Joseph College gave Kate Johnson '04 the freedom to discover her own interests. She came as a Special Education major and graduated with a degree in Psychology, a passion for neurology and a paper on schizophrenia published in the Psi Chi Journal of Undergraduate Research. After graduation, Kate prepared for a career as a physician assistant. Enrolled in Quinnipiac University's graduate physician assistant program, Kate will graduate with a master's degree and specialize in either cardiology or neurosurgery.
"My success so far in life directly stems from my time at Saint Joseph College. I am grateful to faculty members like Dr. Myers who directed me in my career path, introduced me to neuroscience, and helped me find the perfect research opportunity. My experience at Saint Joseph College taught me to be assertive and independent. It is a close-knit community where I received one-on-one attention from a caring and encouraging faculty. I graduated with an excellent education that prepared me for success in graduate school."
