Kimberly Joerg, a Saint Joseph alumna, started her tenure as an assistant professor of Nursing in 2008. Saint Joseph College brings Professor Joerg back to her own college days to the place where her “passion and love for nursing was nurtured.” She believes the College’s main attributes are “community, service and a commitment to excellence.”

Professor Joerg is a critical member of the nursing faculty. She lists her teaching responsibilities as follows: “I teach the pediatric content to the family nurse practitioner students and I have taught the advanced clinical practicum course in the graduate program. I teach the pediatric content to the undergraduates in the spring semester of their junior year and also do clinical in both pediatrics and med/surg.” Clearly, Professor Joerg fulfills a crucial role in the Nursing department

As an individual, she possesses a willingness to share with students her knowledge and experience in nursing, rather than simply instructing them. Professor Joerg sees herself as a partner in her students’ learning. She is not only an educator, but an active learner who participates fully with her students’ progress.
