Recognizing and respecting the individuality of each student lies at the core of Dr. Kaur’s teaching philosophy: “I am receptive to each student’s learning style and growth as I give them the resources required to make evidence-based clinical judgments.”
Through her own pharmacy practice residency and her career as a clinical/retail pharmacist, Dr. Kaur developed skills she hopes to instill in her students: namely, how to critically analyze patient case, develop treatment options, and monitor drug therapy. In her work in the classroom and in the field, Dr. Kaur serves as “an instructor, a role-model, a facilitator and a clinician … It is my responsibility to tailor, assess, and improve my teaching style to meet the student’s educational experience.”
Accordingly, she combines lectures, case studies, discussions and application-based teaching strategies to help students advance and fulfill their ultimate potential.
