As an undergraduate student majoring in Criminology, Michele Parker found herself unexpectedly drawn to the field of Marriage and Family Therapy. "i became interested in the pathways leading to crime and delinquency," she said. "I identified with with theories relating to parenting and family dynamics as precursors to criminal activity."

A self-defined "perpetual student and learner," Parker brings her innate enthusiasm into the classroom, looking to merge her students' personal and professional lives with the course topic and research.

"The environment of dedication to students is palpable at Saint Joseph College," Parker said. "I am excited to be a part of a school where the instructor-student relationship is paramount so my model of teaching is always developing and improving.
