Dr. Hong Zhou equates the role of a college professor to a ferry captain: "It's my job to make sure my students make a safe passage across the river and into the world," Zhou says. This personal dedication to each student manifests itself in the passion for teaching that he brings to the classroom.

Dr. Zhou enjoys the challenge of staying ahead of the curve and bringing that knowledge to the students at Saint Joseph College.  His experience includes research interests in Bioinformatics, Digital Image Processing, mobile agent technology, Data Management and Software Engineering, as well as teaching experience in Programming, Data Structure, Discrete Mathematics, Genetics and Informatics (including Bioinformatics).
