First Year Orientation 2011

The Orientation Program at Saint Joseph College consists of two parts:

Part 1: Orientation

June Orientation days are held for first year students to come to campus and register for their Fall classes. Our one-day orientation program is designed to introduce you to the resources and services available at Saint Joseph College. You will also meet with your academic advisor to plan out your fall program of study and register for classes. Orientation Registration materials are mailed out to all deposited students on a rolling basis based on your deposit date. Once you receive this information you must register online for an Orientation date.

Part 2: Welcome Weekend

Welcome Weekend is held in August the weekend before Fall classes begin. This weekend is for all first-year students including commuters and is the time when new students get connected with Saint Joseph College. Welcome Weekend is required as part of the First-Year Seminar (FYS) course so please make the necessary arrangements to attend. This is a weekend filled with both fun and educational events to help students prepare for their journey at Saint Joseph College. Welcome Weekend is also a great opportunity to connect with and meet other first year students at the college.

Welcome Weekend takes place in August on the following dates:

Friday August 26, 2011
Saturday August 27, 2011
Sunday August 28, 2011

We encourage you to take advantage of this great opportunity at Saint Joseph College. Please take a look at the Orientation schedule that was created to give you a preview of what to expect throughout the day.

The FIRST YEAR Student Orientation Program is coordinated by The Office of Student Activities & Orientation Programs. If you have questions or need more information, please contact the office at 860.231.5447.

We look forward to meeting you during Orientation!
