Transfer Students

For students interested in spring enrollment in The Women's College, it is not too late to apply. Saint Joseph College welcomes qualified students from other colleges during both the fall and spring semesters. Women who are continuing their education or returning to school have long been a part of the Saint Joseph College community. As a women's college, our goal is to assist women of all ages and stages to achieve their educational goals. Application Procedure

  • Submit an application ($50.00 application fee waived if submitted online).
  • Submit an official copy of all college, post-secondary school and high school transcript(s) or GED.

Once you have completed the application process, you will be notified of the admissions decision on a rolling basis. Following acceptance, students will meet with an academic advisor, and review their credit evaluations and plan of study. To indicate acceptance of the offer of admission, the applicant must complete the confirmation form which accompanies the acceptance letter, and submit a non-refundable deposit of $250.00. This deposit will be credited toward the first semester bill. 

Nursing applications are not reviewed on a rolling basis; specific deadlines do apply.

Scholarship Opportunities

  • Upon acceptance, full-time students will automatically be considered for merit-based scholarships ranging up to $7,000 per year.
  • Full-time Phi Theta Kappa scholars will be eligible for an academic scholarship of $8,000 per year.

Matriculated students are also eligible for need-based financial assistance with submission of the FAFSA. For more details, please visit Student Financial Services.

FAFSA4caster

Saint Joseph College is committed to providing students with an exceptional, and affordable, private education. We encourage students to get a head-start on the financial aid process by completing the FAFSA4caster now. We encourage all students who are accepted to the College to get an early estimate of eligibility for aid. Log on to the FAFSA4caster , complete the process, and mail the FAFSA4caster confirmation page to Saint Joseph College Student Financial Services. The Financial Aid office will use this and information in your admissions file to provide you with an early estimate of your financial aid package.

Please note:
A transfer student must complete at least 45 credit hours of course work at Saint Joseph College. A minimum of 120 hours is required to receive a baccalaureate degree. Contact your transfer counselor for the exact academic requirements of specific departments. The last 24 credits for a degree must be completed at Saint Joseph College.

Information for Nursing Applicants

We are happy to hear you are interested in pursuing the completion of your Bachelor of Science in Nursing with us.  The first step in the process for transfer and second degree students interested in applying is to review the Transfer and Second Degree Nursing Information Packet . (PDF: 7pp., 69K)

The next semester for which we are accepting applications for those interested in transfer Nursing admission is spring 2010. Complete your application by December 1 ; space will be limited and competitive.  After December 1, applications will be considered if spaces remain available.
