Graduate School & Weekend Program for Adult Learners Alumnae/i committee

Vision: The Graduate School and Weekend Program Alumnae/i Committee is grounded in the values and beliefs of Saint Joseph College. The Committee members demonstrate responsibility to the College community by their contributions to current and future student population as well as alumnae/i.

Mission: We are dedicated to increasing the connectedness and commitment to Saint Joseph College of current and future students and alumnae/i of The Graduate School and Weekend Program for Adult Learners.

The Graduate School and Weekend Program Alumnae/i Committee is a dynamic group of non-traditional alumnae/i. Formed in 1999, this group has hosted a variety of exciting events including:

  • "Evenings with Kate" movie series
  • Art history lectures featuring Professor Dorothy Keller M'85, C'97
  • Sale of Thankful Candles to provide student scholarships
  • Visit to the Cloisters and the Metropolitan Museum of Art with Professor Dorothy Keller M'85, C'97
  • Events such as Blue Jay Bellhops, Career Fairs, Ambassadors at Reunion Weekend, Outreach Events, and the annual Countdown Event for graduates.

Who are we?

  • Alumnae/i of Saint Joseph College who have survived the rigors of the Weekend Program for Adult Learners and Graduate School Programs
  • Successful members of the community with employment in a variety of professions and industries around the world
  • A Standing Committee of the Alumnae/i Council
  • Volunteers who wish to share our success with future fellow graduates
  • Alumnae/i who choose to work on behalf of the College that provided us with an outstanding education and the power to perform in our chosen professions

  • So that you know who we are, what we do and how to reach us
  • So that you feel free to communicate with us if you have any needs that we as alumnae/i can address for you
  • So that you succeed and join us when you graduate, becoming a special part of the growing alumnae/i body of Saint Joseph College

What do we do?

  • Plan events and programs beneficial to Saint Joseph College and the Greater Hartford community
  • Raise scholarship money for the Graduate School and Weekend Program for Adult Learners while promoting the success of these programs both on and off campus
