 | Saint Joseph College Art Gallery 
The Saint Joseph College Art Gallery houses the College's distinguished collection of fine art. The nucleus of this collection was donated to the College on the occasion of its fifth anniversary, in 1937, by the Reverend Andrew J. Kelly, and was augmented by a major bequest from the Reverend John J. Kelley in 1966. Since then, the collection has grown to over 1,900 objects, with particular strength in American art. The Art Gallery presents regular exhibitions drawn from its permanent collections as well as loan exhibitions of historic art or of contemporary work by artists of national and international stature. The Saint Joseph College Art Gallery Mission Statement The mission of the Saint Joseph College Art Gallery is to inspire,instruct, challenge, encourage inquiry, and promote scholarship through the development and preservation of the permanent collection as well as through research, exhibitions, and programs. The Art Gallery will be a resource for teaching and lifelong learning; it will deepen the understanding of visual art from diverse cultures, stimulate creative endeavors, and enrich the lives of students, the college community, and the general public.
