Saint Joseph College Fall 2009 Athletics Awards

Academic Awards Night

Feb. 18, 2010 was a busy night at the O'Connell Center. Saint Joseph College junior Ilaria Schiano was honored during pre-game for being the fourth basketball player in school history to score 1,000 career points. Players from both Saint Joseph and Emmanuel also posed in Pink Zone shirts. The Women's College Basketball Association Pink Zone is an initiative to raise breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. At halftime, all varsity athletes who attained a 3.0 GPA or higher were honored and Jenny Lemberg ('04) was honored with the 2010 Woman in Sport award, given annually to a past Saint Joseph College student-athlete who has continued to be a role model for young girls and women through sport.
