Boston University philosophy professor David Roochnik will give a lecture titled "Teleology as Death Wish: A Nietzschean Critique of Aristotle," at St. John's College. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Francis Scott Key Auditorium on Friday, February 7 at 8 p.m.
Roochnik received his doctorate from Pennsylvania State University. Before joining the faculty at Boston University in 1995, he taught philosophy and classical studies at Iowa State University and at Williams College. He is the recipient of numerous awards and author of several books, including the 2013 publication titled "Retrieving Aristotle in an Age of Crisis."
