The mission of Project Linus is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers."

Quilts For Kids
The mission of Quilts For Kids' is to transform discontinued fabrics into quilts that comfort children in need, including those with cancer, AIDS & life-threatening illnesses.
Volunteering is easy! Simply contact the local chapter and start working on a quilt. The local chapter occasionally gathers to work together in a local church, contact the chapter for more details.
Books for International Goodwill
B.I.G. aims to be the provider-of-choice in the Annapolis area of services to: receive books being discarded by current owners; identifying domestic and international groups which have limited resources for acquiring books; sorting and building shipments based on requirements; shipping books to needy groups, and conducting book sales to provide revenue to meet expenses as well as putting books in the hands of new users on an individual basis.
Volunteers needed on 2nd or 4th Saturday of each month from 8am-12 noon to help sort and pack books for overseas shipments. Special times can be set up to accommodate groups of volunteers. Also, volunteers with librarian skills are welcome Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings to help arrange books for resale.
Chesapeake Children's Museum
The mission of Chesapeake Children's Museum is to create an environment of discovery about oneself, the peoples, the technologies, and the ecology of the Chesapeake Bay area for all our children and for the children in us all.
The Museum is located a short drive (or long walk) from St. John's College campus. Volunteer opportunities include: work on exhibits and other programs, outreach, festivals, marketing, finances, newsletter preparation, fundraising, grant writing, grounds and facility maintenance.
