Family Health Nursing Clinical Nurse Specialist The master's degree program in Family Health Nursing is designed to be completed on a part-time basis with courses scheduled in the late afternoon and evening hours. Clinical learning experiences occur at a variety of health care agencies.
The Master of Science degree prepares nurses for leadership and change agent roles in health promotion and therapeutic clinical practice. They are also prepared to administer, consult, educate and research as part of the advanced practice nursing role. Students complete a thesis as a requirement of the program. Consult the Saint Joseph College Catalog for specific information concerning admission, matriculation and graduation. Students can select cognate courses in the areas of administration/management, education or clinical practice. Required courses are selected at Saint Joseph College, cognates from the University of Hartford. 36 Credits
