| Bachelor of Arts, Liberal Studies In response to the needs of today's busy students, Saint Joseph College presents the Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies. Specifically designed to accommodate the demands of those with multiple responsibilites, the program allows flexibility and choice. Students cross academic disciplines in order to create a major tailored to their interests. It is particularly well-suited for those with previous college credits. The bachelor of arts in liberal studies offers: Students select from classes in the fields of literature, history, philosophy, science, religion, and the arts. Largely personalized, the major allows students to explore the diversity of their interests.
Major (40 credits) - Foundations in Liberal Studies (3) - Science/Technology (10) - Social Science (9) - Humanities (9) - Additional credits in any of the three domains of Liberal Studies (6) - Integrative Coordination Seminar (3) - A minimum of 15 credits must be at the 300/400 level. | | | Electives (27-29 credits) Students choose the remaining credits from the Saint Joseph College course catalogue. |
General Education (47-48 credits) The liberal studies major works within The Prime Time Program to provide the non-traditional student with a degree program that is convenient and accessible. Alternating weekend, night and online classes combine with an open curriculum to make the program viable for students with work and family responsibilities.
