Certificate Program in GerontologyThe Certificate Program in Gerontology is designed as part of The Prime Time Program at Saint Joseph College. The program is offered for practitioners in the field of aging as well as for persons who wish to gain a broad knowledge of aging through a humanistic perspective. The certificate gives an overview of issues and approaches in gerontology and an understanding of the aging process. Institute in Gerontology Web Page Curriculum Highlights The Certificate Program is 18 credits (6 courses) and is designed for professionals and paraprofessionals currently employed in delivery of services to the aged and for those who hope to enter the field. - GERO 310 Seminar on Aging
In addition to the required courses, students select nine credits from a menu of related disciplines, including Marriage and Family Therapy, Management, Psychology, Religious Studies, Sociology, and Social Work.
