Archives The Archives collects and makes available records that document the history of the Saint Joseph College community. College records include Saint Joseph College's charter and by-laws; documents related to academic programs; faculty and staff biographical information; administrative reports and minutes; financial reports and audits; alumnae/i, faculty and student publications; architectural drawings, specifications and building inventories; and scrapbooks and newspaper clippings. Materials that have research value and an associative relation with the College are organized and retained in special collections. For example, the Rev. Andrew J. Kelly Art Collection contains art notes and correspondence between Fr. Kelly and prominent artists. The Susan Tracy Collection contains letters to Tracy, a missionary teacher to the Choctaw Nation, 1844-46. The Treasure Room Collection includes letters and manuscripts from noted individuals such as Lionel Barrymore, Bernard Baruch, Warren G. Harding and Arnold Lunn. The Archives also holds three-dimensional objects produced by or for the College as well as objets d'art donated by alumnae/i and friends. Photographs documenting the College's events and facilities are held by the Archives. Films, audio recordings and video cassettes likewise capture classroom presentations and special events, most notably the annual Jane Cullen Connor, Lewis and McAuley lectures.
