 | New Employee Orientation
You are required to meet with the Human Resource Office within your first three days at Saint Joseph College. If you have not already done so, please be sure to contact the Human Resource Office to arrange an appointment. If you are eligible for benefits, an appointment will also be scheduled for you to meet with the Benefits Administrator. Below are some of the general items that will be covered when you meet with the Human Resource Office: - There are a variety of required forms that you will need to complete and submit. We prefer that you complete the forms in advance, however if that isn't possible you will be given time to complete them at check-in
- Saint Joseph College is required to verify your identity and employment eligibility. As such, you will need to provide us with your proof of work eligibility. Acceptable documents are noted on the reverse side of the I-9 Form you received with your Offer letter
- You will meet with the Benefits Administrator to complete paperwork and discuss the benefits provided to employees by the College
- Saint Joseph College requests that all new employees use direct deposit for weekly and semi-monthly salary payments. Thus, it will be necessary for you to have a bank account set up and to provide Saint Joseph College with the necessary routing information upon check-in. Please verify checking, savings and routing numbers with your bank prior to submitting your Automatic Deposit Form
- You will be provided with a parking permit, which is valid for a three year period. All cars parked on the College campus must be registered with the Department of Campus Safety. In order to register your car, please bring a copy of your Connecticut or other State vehicle registration along with the required fee of $25.00
- Your Saint Joseph College Photo Identification Card will be issued. This card is valid for your tenure at the College, however, every year you should obtain an updated sticker from the Registrar's Office to place on the card
- We will arrange an appointment for you to be given an overview of our "Ceridian Self-Service" on-line program that allows you to view your pay stubs, update personal information, review benefits that you have elected, and more
- You will be required to sign and return the form that acknowledges you've been told to go on-line to the Human Resource web page, www.sjc.edu/hr, to HR Publications, and read the Employee Guidebook to familiarize yourself with the information it contains regarding the College's employee personnel policies and procedures
