AIMI, a dynamic summer experience for children ages 8 - 13 years-old from the greater Hartford region along with college students, offers a unique dance program. The audience will experience a dance performance that weaves together tales and fables reaching across cultures; directed and choreographed by Kay Gayner of the National Dance Institute (NDI) in New York City along with Oscar and Emmy Award winner Jacques d’Amboise H’03 who serves the program as artist-in-residence. AIMI is unmatched by other summer arts opportunities in combining both instruction and show preparation within a short time frame; 40 children and 10 Saint Joseph College graduate students participate in the two and a half week program. This multi-faceted performing arts endeavor is led by a team comprised of instructors from the National Dance Institute and Saint Joseph College who hold their students to the highest standards of excellence and achievement.
