The art activities are presented in an uncomplicated step-by-step format, using pictures, written directions,
verbal aids and physical demonstrations. The activities are meant to engage the students' interest,
independence and self-expression, with specific adaptations made whenever necessary.
Art at The Gengras Center acknowledges every student's need for self-esteem.
Projects are designed to be confidence building and are individually designed to reach the needs of the students
in each class. Clean-up is also a part of the art experience.
Student art work is displayed throughout the school and in The Gengras Calendar in December.
A portfolio of each student's work is produced at the end of the school year and sent home.
