2010 Gengras Center Grad Group
The Gengras Center “Grad Group” is a structured supportive learning group for our students completing their final year of high school. They participate in a year-long program to prepare them for the post-graduate world of work, adult service agencies, and independent living.
Two trips per month are planned with student input and staff guidance. Special attention is given to supporting the students’ social-emotional and functional needs during this time of transition. They are shown strategies for accessing transportation, practicing appropriate behavior, and demonstrating effective communication skills in leisure-based settings, museums and restaurants.
