Attendance Policy: Attendance at all classes is mandatory. This is a hands-on lab course; work cannot be made up. If a class is missed due to illness, arrangements must be made to make up the class. Missing all or part of a class could result in a lowered final course grade. If a class is missed on a presentation night, the opportunity to do the presentation will likely be forfeited, affecting the grade for that project. Please arrive on time. Important directions regarding class sessions and assignments are announced at the start of classes.  Also, on presentation nights, it is important to remain for the full class session and to be attentive at all times.

Class Presentation Preparation: Software for presentations must be installed on the projection computer before class sessions start.

Class Participation: Participation in class on the Blackboard discussion forums will affect your grade.  If your final course average is on the borderline between two grades, you will receive the higher grade if your class participation has been consistently high.  Likewise, the opposite will apply: you will receive the lower grade if you have not participated actively on a consistent basis.

Academic Integrity Policy: Please refer to the grading section of the syllabus for details on how breaches of academic integrity are handled. Any breach will be reported to the Academic Dean’s Office in accord with College policy. Even if the student corrects the problem, the case must be reported to maintain a written record of the fact in the student’s academic file.

Due Dates: All work is due on the dates as listed in the syllabus. No work will be accepted late. Submission of work on time is essential. Assignments follow a sequential order.  You must complete one assignment in order to begin the next.
