Course
Description
This course focuses on computer applications and concepts related to
teaching on the K-12 level. The course provides hands-on experience with
numerous computer programs. A critical component of this course centers on
effective ways to integrate computer technology into the classroom.
Course Objectives
The student will be able to:
Evaluate educational software/websites and
identify ways to integrate software/websites into the curriculum
Write
a software or website lesson plan
Create
a web site
Create
an advanced PowerPoint display
Create
a Web Quest, including a teacher lesson plan and the online components for
students to conduct the quest
Use
application software or an online application tool (e.g., spreadsheets, graphic
organizers, blog etc.) to create materials and for integration into the
classroom setting
