In a well-organized essay, discuss an educational plan for implementing computer technology into a specific educational context.  Be sure to state the grade level(s), curricular area(s), and specific characteristics of the selected student population before you begin the essay, so your response can be evaluated within that context.  Your essay should present your ideas clearly and convincingly.

Your essay needs to address all of the following points:

*       What are the learning objectives or intended outcomes for the plan

*       What specific computer software, applications, or tools will be used in the plan

*       What learning activities will used, and how will the computer technology integrate with other learning activities

*       How will the use of the technology support the curriculum and enable learning to occur that might not have been as readily possible without the use of the technology

*       What methods will be used to assess student learning to determine if the stated objectives and outcomes have been met

*       What steps will be implemented to minimize issues surrounding the use of technology in school settings

Please note that the computer technology that you include can be one software program, the use of the Internet, or an array of computer tools or programs.  The important thing here is that you are focused on a specific unit of study and learning outcomes that correlate with a school curriculum for a stated population of students.  Your essay should: (1) make a valuable contribution to the field of education, (2) demonstrate that you can mesh curricular and learning theories with technology, and (3) reveal that you can apply what you learned in Education 570 to an actual teaching context.
