Course Description

This course focuses on computer applications and concepts related to teaching on the K-12 level. The course provides hands-on experience with numerous computer programs. A critical component of this course centers on effective ways to integrate computer technology into the classroom.

Course Objectives

The student will be able to:

*Evaluate educational software and identify ways to integrate software into the curriculum
*Write software-based lesson plan
*Create a web site
*Create a PowerPoint
*Create an Internet lesson plan
*Use application software (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, etc.) and apply such software to a teaching situation
