Lecture at St. John's Explores English Poetry

St. John’s College tutor emeritus Elliott Zuckerman will give a lecture titled “Why I still Scan Verse; or: How to Sleep in a Procrustean Bed” at St. John’s College. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Francis Scott Key Auditorium on Friday, April 19 at 8 p.m.
Zuckerman received his bachelor’s degree in humanities and a master’s degree and doctorate in European cultural history from Columbia University as well as undergraduate and graduate degrees in English from Cambridge University. He taught at Columbia University and at the New School before joining the St. John’s College faculty in 1961.
