A Celebration of John Lennon

 AIMI Summer Dance Program 2009

WEST HARTFORD, CT - Saint Joseph College recently presented the seventh season of its Arts Integration and Multiple Intelligences Program (AIMI) culminating with the performance of A Celebration of John Lennon in The Bruyette Athenaeum’s Hoffman Auditorium. Vignettes of the life of the late Beatles legend John Lennon were woven together with original choreography set to his music including dialogue, colorful costumes and scenery. Pictured from left to right are: Kostya Mushkatin of West Hartford, Lucas Mikan of Stafford Springs, Kiera Sheehan of Newington, and Christian Gutierrez of Hartford. AIMI, a dynamic summer experience for children ages 10 - 13 years old, offers a unique dance program with Oscar and Emmy Award winner Jacques d’Amboise H’03, who serves the program as artist in residence, along with his National Dance Institute team of professionals. AIMI is unmatched by other summer arts opportunities in combining both instruction and show preparation within a short time frame; 40 children and 20 Saint Joseph College graduate students participated in the program.
