Professor Lorrie Greenhouse Gardella to be Featured Speaker at UConn School of Social Work on March 6
As part of the University of Connecticut’s celebration of Social Work Month (March 2012), Lorrie Greenhouse Gardella, J.D., M.S.W., A.C.S.W., associate dean and professor of Social Work in SJC’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies, will appear as a featured speaker. Professor Gardella will discuss her newly published book titled The Life and Thought of Louis Lowy: Social Work Through the Holocaust (Syracuse University Press) . The book captures the experiences and social work philosophy of Holocaust survivor and renowned social work educator Professor Louis Lowy.
The Saint Joseph College community is cordially invited to attend the presentation on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Zachs Community Room at the School of Social Work located nearby on UConn’s Greater Hartford campus at 1798 Asylum Avenue, West Hartford. Admission is free of charge. Books will be available for purchase and Professor Gardella will participate in a book signing following the program.
