SJC Celebrates International Education Week

International Week 2009Saint Joseph College will celebrate its Ninth Annual International Education Week (IEW) from November 16 - 20, 2009. IEW is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education that prepares Americans for global awareness, advocacy and action.

The College's Office of International Studies and Programs will commemorate International Education Week on campus with a rich and stimulating week-long schedule of educational and cultural events. Highlights include: SJC Passport Day; Zumba® fitness demonstration; Burma Action; presentations on South Africa, Ecuador, El Salvador, the war in Afghanistan; a panel on Human Trafficking; “Henna for Charity;” language luncheon (featuring Spanish and French cuisine); lectures on migration, world population, ecology/environmental action and much more!
