Buying Books

The Campus Bookstore stocks all books required for St. John's classes. Multiple translations and/or editions are available of most books on the reading list. Should you buy all your texts at the start of the year? It depends. Your tutors may express a preference, and you're going to hear many opinions from upperclassmen. You will also develop your own tastes. The basic things you need to begin are: C.A.E. Luschnig’s Introduction to Ancient Greek, Second Edition, Euclid's Elements, and volume 1 of the Freshman Lab Manual.

The Bookstore accepts VISA, Discover, MasterCard, or American Express credit cards. Personal checks with a phone number and cash are also welcome.

What the Bookstore stocks: program books, extensive titles of fiction, poetry, reference, history, sciences, philosophy, religion and Eastern studies, psychology, cognitive science, writing reference, biology, physical science, drama, language studies, mathematics, nature and the Southwest, art books, graphic novels, children’s literature, and music.
