Housing Deposit and Housing Contract Information

Undergraduate

Freshmen: A housing deposit of $150 and signed housing contract is due by June 15 (fall freshmen) and December 15 (January freshmen). The deposit is applied to the student account as a payment for the semester.

The deposit is only refundable in the following cases:

(1) Residential Life & Housing Director receives written notice that the student’s intention is not to occupy the residential housing by July 15 (fall freshmen) and December 6 (January freshmen).
(2) Lack of available space for summer housing.

Continuing students: For students who have paid their advance deposit by the second Monday in April, no room reservation/housing deposit is required. However, housing contracts must be returned to the Housing Office by June 15 - failure to complete and return the housing contract by June 15 will forfeit any room assignment. Moreover, students with a housing assignment and housing contract must notify the Residential Life & Housing Director in writing by July 1 for the fall semester and November 15 for the spring semester if a room is not needed for any reason including not returning for the semester, or a $250 fee will be charged to the student account.

Graduate Housing Deposit and Housing Contract information:
Graduate students may be housed in the dormitories during the summer term only. A $100 housing deposit is required for each student and each family member to be housed. The deposit is due by April 1 along with a signed housing contract. The deposit is applied to the student account as a payment for the semester.

The deposit is only refundable in the following cases:

(1) Residential Life & Housing Director receives written notice that the student’s intention is not to occupy the residential housing by May 1.
(2) Lack of available space for summer housing.
