Parking in St John's college lots is acceptable by permit only. Parking on campus is very limited, as it is in the city of Annapolis. Undergraduate students are strongly urged not to bring cars unless it is truly necessary. There are two types of permits for students: resident permits for those who live on campus and commuter permits for those who live far enough off campus that they need to drive to school. Permits do not guarantee the availability of parking spaces. Parking regulations may be changed at any time.
Parking in the Campbell, Chase-Stone, and Mellon lots is restricted to faculty and staff employees between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and on Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Students who park in these lots during these hours may have their cars towed without prior warning. Students occasionally may be given permission to park temporarily in those lots for specific reasons such as loading or unloading a car, if they check with Public Safety in advance. Public Safety officers will ticket and tow all unauthorized cars on a regular basis. Illegally parked cars may be towed without warning. Storage charges may be added to the towing charges if the car is not picked up the same day it is towed. Always assume that your car will be towed if it is parked illegally. Vehicles with commuter permits may not be parked on campus overnight.
Motorcycles and motor scooters must be registered with Public Safety and parked in designated areas. Students illegally or improperly parking their vehicles will be fined, or may have them removed. Motorcycles and motor scooters may not be kept in any college building. A fine will be levied upon the owners of vehicles driven across any part of the campus. Drivers will be responsible for any damage incurred.
Parking Registration Parking permits may be purchased from Public Safety during regular business hours. To obtain a permit you must present a valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and verification of insurance. Permits may be purchased only for a car registered in the name of the student purchasing the permit or in his or her parent's name.

Freshman and Resident Sophomores ARE NOT PERMITTED TO HAVE VEHICLES ON CAMPUS.
Permits must be firmly affixed to the rear bumper or rear window on the driver's side of the vehicle.
Resident Students may park in the Gym and gravel overflow lots only.
Commuter Students (not residing on campus) may park in the Gym and gravel lots only. However commuter students WILL NOT park on campus overnight. Between 2am and 6am violators may be towed at the owner's expense.
Graduate Students may park in the Gym and gravel lots only. However graduate students not residing on campus WILL NOT Park on campus overnight. Between 2am and 6am violators may be towed at the owner's expense.
Faculty and Staff may park in any lot but may not park in restricted spaces (reserved/handicapped) without special permit.
STUDENT PARKING WILL BE PERMITTED IN THE MELLON LOT BETWEEN 6PM and MIDNIGHT ON SEMINAR NIGHTS ONLY.
Towing Policy: Students (including graduate students) will be towed from any faculty and staff lot from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
Violators parked in reserved or handicap spaces will be towed at the owner's expense.
Vehicles parked on College property without proper identification will be towed at the owner's expense on a 24 hour basis.
Parking Fines: Fines not paid before the end of the semester will result in loss of parking privileges.
Visitors: Students who have guests on campus are responsible for properly registering the guest and also obtaining temporary parking permits for them from the Office of Public Safety. Likewise making sure thee guest know which parking lots are open to them. Otherwise, their vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense.
