Life in Annapolis

When you’re ready to take a break from reading Plato, Historic Annapolis is a two-minute walk from campus.  Downtown, you can stroll along the famous City Dock waterfront, grab a bite with a friend at one of the many restaurants, or meet up at a quaint locally-owned coffee shop. Take your morning run next door on the grounds of United States Naval Academy, walk the gardens of the Maryland State Capitol building, or catch a bus to metropolitan Washington, D.C. There are also many alluring spots on the beautiful campus grounds, including College Creek, the Chesapeake Bay’s largest restored natural shoreline , or the scientifically and acoustically interesting Pendulum Pit, where students often gather to practice music. There is much to discover in Annapolis, so you’ll never be without something to see or do!

"Masterpieces are not single and solitary births; they are the outcome of many years of thinking in common, of thinking by the body of the people, so that the experience of the mass is behind the single voice."
- Virginia Woolf
