The 26,000 square-foot Student Activities Center is home to an array of personal fitness equipment and athletic facilities including a full-size gymnasium, weight room, and two racquetball/squash courts, as well as shower and locker rooms. In addition, three tennis courts, a soccer field, a 1/8th-mile track, and a nine-hole disc golf course are located next to the Student Activities Center.
The College Community can borrow sports, outdoor equipment, and bicycles free of charge. A college ID is required in order to enter the gym and to check out any equipment.
Check the SAC Bulletin Board across from the Coffee Shop or in the Gym for latest news and updated information on outdoor trips and activities. The SAC Front Desk can be reached at ext. 6149
The Student Activities Organization has a very active Bicycle Loan Program. Both short and long-term bicycle loans are available to students.
Through the integration of bicycle loans, education, and recreation, the St. John's Bike Program enhances the physical and cultural development of students. As a resource for alternative transportation, we minimize our campus and community environmental impact. The SAC offers a DIY bicycle maintenance bench complete with a full toolset and "how-to" books.
All bicycle loans include a helmet, lock, and lights. Deposit required. Dylan Hitchcock-Lopez is the Bicycle Loan Assistant. To inquire about the program or to check bicycle availability, please contact Mike Thurber at extension 6148 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
