Programs and Activities

Floor Programs
Residential Life offers a variety of programs and activities. At the onset of the semester the Resident Assistants (RAs) take a pulse of what hot topics our students want to explore. Programming suggestions and your involvement are necessary ingredients for success. Some of the hot topics that have been explored include the following: time management, body image and the media, aids awareness, women's health issues, alcohol and drugs, how to approach your friends, career exploration and many more.

Programs are designed to embrace and create purposeful, celebrative, disciplined, caring, open, and just communities. All residents are welcome to attend any RA's floor program!

Weekend Programs

Residential Life also offers frequent weekend programs for residence. These programs allow residents a consistent time and place every Saturday evening to hang out and enjoy campus life.  Weekend programming consists of a movie night or game night every other Saturday evening starting at 7:00 p.m. in McGovern Hall.

Dean's Cup Program
This is a large-scale programming series sponsored by the Residential Life staff. These programs are fun, interactive and occur throughout the Fall semester!

Each floor or Residence Hall is a team, led by their RA (10 teams total), that compete against each other for the title of Dean's Cup Champions for that academic year. Each month there is a competition or activity that requires the members of that team and community to band together and win.
