Academic Programs
Saint Joseph College has a wide variety of academic programs from which to choose:

Our undergraduate programs for women offers approximately 24 majors that you may complete through full-time or part-time study. Classes are held during the day and evening and are open to all students. In our undergraduate programs for women, you will be advised by a professional advisor in the Advisement Center until the middle of your sophomore year, at which time you will declare your major and a faculty member in that department will become your advisor.

The Weekend Program for Adult Learners offers academic programs, which have been designed to meet the needs of working adult students. Classes are held on evenings, Saturdays, and online. These programs may also be completed through full-time or part-time study. In The Weekend Program for Adult Learners, you will be advised in the Advisement Center until you have completed approximately 45 credits from all college work. At that time you will be advised by a faculty member in your major department.

Advising Services
The office of Academic Advisement is an important resource for students in regard to:

• planning classes and programs of study
• guidance and support through the students’ first year and a half at the college
• college academic policies and procedure
• development of a sense of responsibility
• short-term and long-term goals and strategies to achieve those goals
• resources on campus (personal, academic, financial, and social)

Our academic advising services are designed to help you explore the college academic offerings and pursue your career goals through individual advising and additional support programs. While advisors are available to guide and support students, it is ultimately the student’s responsibility for making decisions regarding educational plans and life goals.
