Diversity Initiatives
Mission
The Office of Diversity Initiatives strives to create an appreciation for and greater understanding of diversity and multiculturalism through training, education and discussion on all levels of the Saint Joseph Campus. The Diversity Initiatives Office will develop ways to: connect with a variety of members of our community; promote and maintain a sense of sisterhood amongst all women on our campus regardless of race, ability, ethnic heritage, sexual orientation or religion; and enhance and create opportunities for professional and personal growth.
Diane Drakes, M'01, is the Director of Diversity Initiatives. She is a graduate of McDaniel College with a B. A. in Social Work & Communication. Diane received her M.A. in Counselor Education from Saint Joseph College.
Diane Drakes is available to assist members of the college and local community in the discussion and implementation of programs that celebrate diversity and multiculturalism year round. For further information please contact her at ddrakes@sjc.edu.
