Dance

Come dance, dance, dance with us! This course exposes girls to a wide variety of dance and movement. It incorporates yoga, pilates, and stretching. The class is vigorous and demanding on the body, so please be prepared. Girls should wear comfortable attire and dance shoes, or dance barefoot.

Our dance program is a rigorous physical exploration of modern styles. We focus on jazz, urban hip-hop, and modern dance movements. Within these styles, girls work on everything from body alignment, to mood and tone, to technique precision.

While we do not require that students meet a specific skill level, we do ask that all students have some dance experience and are comfortable with physical exercise and trying new things.

Dance surrounds us and is inside of us. The practice of dance has far-reaching applications. It teaches us focus, rigor, collaboration and self-confidence. Above all – dancing is purely fun!
