FAQs

I will be a residential student, who do I live with? Each student completes a roommate profile online, and we pair girls who are in the same grade but who are in different academic tracks. We place girls in residence halls by age. Staff members live on each floor to provide 24-hour supervision.

Will I have access to the computer labs? During afternoon free time and in the evenings, girls can use the computer lab for e-mail and surfing the Internet, in accordance with Saint Joseph College's Internet Policy. Students may not bring their own laptops.

Will I be able to bring my cell phone or call family? We have designed a strict policy surrounding phone use so girls may get the most out of their experience on campus. Girls may use their cell phones during times designated by the Program Director. Girls may not use their cell phones in class or walking around campus. They should make any necessary phone calls from their rooms or specifically designated areas.

Should I bring spending money? We recommend that girls bring a small amount of spending money for sundries and snacks and visits to the school store.

It seems very academic. Will it be fun? We know that the girls are on summer break and that they need to have fun, especially if they are going to learn. We offer plenty of activities, movies, games, and after-hours events; students and staff have a fantastic time.
