Unification Grant Saint Joseph College
FUNDING ___________________
A total of $60,000 is available as awards for faculty initiatives toward unification .Projects will be funded for implementation in the Fall of 02 and the Spring of 03.
A range of incentives and rewards will be provided to faculty whose requests for support are approved by the IR Team. The initial "Intent-to-Apply" phase of the proposal process will assist faculty in determining budget needs. .All final proposals will be due April 26. However, funding for the proposals will be distributed evenly for the Fall semester and for the Spring semester in compliance with the grant funding. While it is anticipated that the awarding of funds serve as an incentive for faculty to explore cross-disciplinary ventures, it is also anticipated that all incentives are not financial. For example, our programs will be more attractive to future education students because of their integrated nature. Further, given Saint Joseph's College commitment to attract, recruit, and retain minority students, innovative and unified programs enhance our ability to meet the needs of a diverse population of students within our college.
