Unique Professional Development and Course of Study for Educators!
The Arts Integration through Multiple Intelligences (AIMI) Project provides an opportunity for teachers and teacher candidates at both the graduate and undergraduate levels to learn differentiated instructional approaches through the arts. Through Multiple Intelligence Theory and the use of arts integration strategies, educators and future educators develop units and lessons that incorporate the visual and performing arts across the curriculum. Students also participate in workshops conducted by the National Dance Institute which culminate in a professional grade dance production, unique in that it teaches adult students alongside children. Six credits in graduate Education and three credits in undergraduate Dance are offered through the AIMI project.
For Graduate Education Course information, contact Dr. Susan Johns at 860.231.5336 or sjohns@sjc.edu.
