2020 Winter Orientation for New Students
at St. John’s College

January 17–20

We are pleased to welcome the newest members of the college community. The orientation schedule for students is detailed below and designed to furnish you with a thorough introduction to the life of the college.

Convocation is a centuries-old public ceremony at which the entering class is officially inducted into the college. Faculty and officers of St. John’s process in full regalia, and students are introduced one at a time to the President, Dean, and Faculty. Each student signs their name in the historical record of the St. John’s College Register.

Join us for a week of welcome as we continue to introduce you to life at St. John’s College.

Shuttle services begin their regular hours. You can schedule a shuttle ride through our switchboard (505-984-6000), located in Peterson Student Center. Shuttles leave campus every hour and a half throughout the semester.

Women’s Empowerment Luncheon: Female-identifying students’ only luncheon to learn about the Women’s Empowerment Collective and how you can benefit from having a mentor.

1920s Murder Mystery Ball: A murder mystery that takes place in a 1920s speakeasy. There will be swing dancing so bring appropriate attire.
