The fourth annual Music on the Hill™ concert series, sponsored by St. John’s College, has rapidly become a signature Santa Fe summer event.  Beginning on June 10th, six concerts will fill the night air on Wednesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. on the athletic field at St. John’s College.

Kicking off the series this year will be local pianist Bert Dalton and his group playing Brazilian jazz.  The full lineup for Music on the Hill™ 2009 follows:

June 10:     Bert Dalton (Brazilian Jazz)
June 17:     Eileen Meyer (Indie Folk)
June 24:     Arlen Asher Quartet (Jazz)

This year, St. John’s College is also pleased to partner with FAM JAM!, the Santa Fe affiliate of Music Together, a national program designed to help children and families grow through music. FAM JAM! will present pre-show events on June 10th and June 24th at 4:45 p.m. Families are encouraged to come early and make music together!

Food and beverages may be purchased from Walter Burke Catering. Concertgoers are also encouraged to picnic on the field.

Sorry, no pets allowed on campus.

In case of inclement weather requiring cancellation of a concert, the St. John’s College switchboard will have updated information.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the St. John’s College Music on the Hill™ series, this year we have worked with the City of Santa Fe to ensure smooth traffic management and parking options both on- and off-campus. A drop-off location near the entrance to the athletic field on Camino Cruz Blanca has been designated. A map of parking options is available by clicking here.

Music on the HillTM is sponsored in part by Los Alamos National Bank, along with media sponsors Comcast, Journal Santa Fe, and KSFR 101.1 FM - Santa Fe Public Radio.
